Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of the terms

By accessing or using Biblup, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part, do not use the service. At sign-up, the version of these Terms you accepted is recorded on your account; changes that affect your rights ask for a new acceptance before you continue.

2. Description of the service

Biblup is a platform for learning English that uses Bible stories as reading material. The service includes the demo Lesson with no sign-up, two Courses (Old and New Testament) with lessons, exercises and spaced Review, Read Mode, Groups by invite link, Achievements, Streak and the Refer and earn program.

Biblup is not a Bible study app or a religious service: it explains the language of the text and offers no theological commentary.

3. Free of charge

At launch, the whole service is free: there are no paid plans, subscriptions, credits, trials or charges of any kind, and Biblup does not ask for card details. We show no ads and ask for no donations.

This is the current situation, not a perpetual promise. If any feature becomes paid in the future, we will give at least 30 days' notice, in the app and by email, and no one will lose progress or access to a Unit they have already started.

4. Sign-up and account

The first lesson does not ask for an account. To save your progress, you create an account with an email (magic link) or Google, giving true information. You are responsible for the security of the account and for what is done with it.

• Pseudonym: a display name is generated automatically; you can change it or show your name.
• One account per person: creating several accounts or manipulating Referrals, XP, Streak or rankings is not allowed.
• Age: Biblup was designed for adults; we do not state a minimum age at sign-up and the age range is optional.

5. Bible content

The text of the lessons is the World English Bible (WEB), in the public domain. The graded retellings are pedagogical adaptations of the text and do not replace the original, which always appears in the Original verse, at the end of each Unit. Where there is a Parallel text in your language, it comes from a freely licensed version, identified in the Read Mode footer with the attribution the license requires.

6. AI-generated content

Retellings, exercises, Tips, entries, interface translations and the public pages are generated by artificial intelligence and audited automatically before publication, without prior human review. This content may contain errors. Any passage can be reported inside the app; a Report may lead to the passage being temporarily withdrawn until it is corrected.

At launch, Biblup makes no real-time AI calls for you: there is no tutor, chat or instantly generated explanation. The matching buttons only record your interest.

7. Groups and Referrals

Anyone can create a Group and share an invite link. By joining through that link, you agree that Group members can see your display name and your XP for the week; never your answers or words. You can leave the Group at any time.

The Referral link rewards whoever brings a new sign-up with XP, Streak or Freeze. There is no payment in money. Fake or automated sign-ups cancel the rewards and may lead to the account being blocked.

8. Intellectual property

The design, the code, the Biblup brand, the mascot Lana, the illustrations and the Travessia Pop design system are the property of Biblup. The WEB Bible text is in the public domain. You may not copy, modify or distribute the proprietary elements without authorization.

9. Conduct

• Do not use the service for illegal or harmful purposes.
• Respect other people in Groups.
• Do not try to manipulate XP, Streak, Achievements, Referrals or rankings.
• Do not use offensive display names.

10. Suspension and deletion

We may block accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice in serious cases. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is irreversible and removes progress, Cards, Streak, Achievements, Groups and Referrals within 7 days, except for data the law requires us to keep.

11. Limitation of liability

Biblup is provided "as is", with no guarantee of learning results, uninterrupted availability or accuracy of the AI-generated content. Because the service is free, our liability is limited to what the law requires.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. We will tell you about relevant changes by email (a transactional message, which cannot be turned off) and in the app. Questions: [email protected].
