Does Biblup teach doctrine?

Updated on October 15, 2026

No. Biblup teaches English, and the stories of the Bible are the reading material. Nothing on the site tells you what to believe or do, and the content is neutral between Christian traditions. Biblup is not a church and does not belong to a denomination.

What you find in the stories

  • The story: it is told in simple English and narrates what the text says, with no commentary, no sermon and no moral at the end.
  • The lesson tips: they explain English words and sentences with examples taken from the story itself. They do not interpret the meaning of the passage.
  • The original verse: at the end of each story, the Bible text in English, as the edition writes it.
  • The Context: some stories bring a short note with facts you can check, such as place, period and customs. The note names the work it comes from and informs; it does not tell you what to believe.

What about hard passages?

The Bible has hard passages. When one of them comes in, Biblup tells it at the English level where it can be narrated without caricature. The facts are told without softening, the tips do not interpret, and the original verse appears unchanged.

Where the texts come from

The Bible texts and the works cited in the Context come from open sources. The license and credit of each one are on Licenses and sources.
