What are the Context cards?
Updated on October 16, 2026
The Context card tells one factual detail about the scene you're reading: a historical, geographical, cultural or literary fact. It's always one idea per card, and the work behind it appears alongside — never Biblup's opinion.
Where it appears
- In the lesson: 1 card per lesson (up to 3), in the Discover stage and in the Context tab of Help.
- In reading mode: next to the passage.
- On the story page: one featured card, with the source per work.
The card's language
The Level suggests the language: up to A2, the card opens in your language; from B1 on, in English. Switch whenever you want:
- On the card: the "View in English" button (or "View in your language") switches just that card, on the spot.
- In Settings: "Context language" applies to every card from then on.
If a card was taken down for correction, it disappears until it's back — and when it's back, the page shows a "Corrected on …" line.
