What Bible translations does Biblup use?
Updated on October 10, 2026
On Biblup, the English stories you study are based on the World English Bible (WEB). We chose this version because it is in the public domain and uses modern English, which makes it excellent for learning.
To help you understand the stories, we show a supporting text in your native language, which we call "Parallel text". Currently, we use the following translations for this:
- English: World English Bible (WEB).
- Spanish: Reina-Valera 1909 (RV1909), a classic and well-known public domain version.
- Portuguese: Bíblia Livre (BLIVRE), a modern and accessible translation.
We do not yet have an option for you to choose another translation (such as NIV or KJV), as our focus is on learning the English language, and these base translations work well for the Parallel text.
