Why is a sentence in the lesson missing a translation next to it?
Updated on October 10, 2026
During the lessons, we show the "Parallel text" in your native language to help you understand the story. Sometimes, the space next to the English text might appear blank or show a "no match" warning.
This happens because of how Bible translations were made throughout history:
- Different numbering: Some languages number verses differently than English. For example, what is verse 1 in the English Bible might be verse 2 in your language. When this happens, we show a warning saying "This text is in verse N" with a link so you can easily find the translation.
- Missing verses: Some older translations include verses that modern versions left out (or vice versa), depending on the manuscripts the translators used. If the edition we use in your language does not have that passage, we have nothing to show next to it.
This is not a Biblup error, but an exact reflection of how translation works in real life.
