How does the Read Mode work?

Updated on October 10, 2026

The Read Mode allows you to freely explore and read chapters from the Bible in your target language, outside of the structured lessons.

Exploring the text

When you open the Read section, you can choose a book and chapter to read. The text will be presented in the language you are learning.

  • You can read at your own pace without exercises or tests.
  • Tap to translate: Just like in the stories, you can tap on any word you don't know to instantly see its meaning and hear how it is pronounced.

Parallel text (Bible alongside)

If we have a free-license Bible translation available in your native language, it will automatically appear below the verses you are reading as a parallel text. This acts as a quick support guide so you don't have to leave Biblup to check the meaning of a complex sentence.
